How does CBD work in the human body?
The human body has a system of endocannabinoids, naturally occurring molecules produced by the body itself. Endocannabinoids on a molecular level are much like the cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant. They affect – among other things – the body’s central nervous system, the brain, lungs, muscles, and the immune system. A vast amount of research has been undertaken, and is ongoing, to determine the precise effects of CBD in the body. In many cases studies have shown that – among other things – CBD is linked to:
- Improved sleep
- Pain relief
- Stress reduction
- Anti-inflammatory effects
- Anxiety relief
- Strengthening the immune system and the nervous system
This blog will explain more about how CBD works and how it is made.
How is CBD oil made?
There are many different kinds of CBD oil. The difference between these products is the substances they contain, in addition to CBD. MariPharm CBD oil is produced using the purest form of CBD isolate combined with a carrier oil. The Isolate consists of CBD-crystals, which have been completely stripped of all other substances.
Another type of CBD oil is a broad – or full-spectrum variety, in which an entire cannabis extract is used. The cannabis extract also includes other compounds, such as additional cannabinoids or terpenes, and in the case of full-spectrum CBD – minute tracer elements of THC. On occasion, certain compounds and substances will be removed from an extract, and then added back again later in the manufacturing process.
